Hi there

So this weekend I'll be rather busy. Doing the plugs and coils, and now having to change oil

Recently I have just picked up and have been running the new Castrol EDGE 5w30 in the car, A switch from Mobil 1 5w30

Ive noticed smoother drive, and shifts? Just feels smoother. HOWEVER did notice a huge drop is gas mileage, only getting on average 16MPG =/

Dictating either to go back to Mobil1 oil this weekend, Or bump either oils up to 10w-30?

As I live in Central Florida and its ofcourse warmer. Been reading that 10w30 will be fine for warmer climates?

Also, Swapping out the motorcraft OEM filter with a NAPA Gold ;). I tried FRAM to save a few dollars few months ago, Stay away. It fell apart

Local Autozones have been running a special on Mobil 1. 5 Quarts and a filter for $29.99. Them seem to have it about every 3 months that's when I stock up. They had a sale when did my F250 5 quarts of Castrol high millage and oil filter for $19.99 and $2.00 bucks off an air filter.
The trucks got 170K so I don't waste my time with syn. in it.

If you want better gas mileage and less start-up wear, use 0W20 oil.

Thanks for the input

Today changed coils plugs and oil in the car..... back to Mobil 1

When oil was draining, It basically had no body left -- It like broke down and was dark as can be =/ had about 3500 miles on the oil.

When I was using Mobil 1, 3500 miles the oil would still have body to it and slippery feel

Been running mobil 1 full synth perform. blend in the Balt, after the beatings it takes(at track and such) the stuff is still as you said above(good stuff), was going to try Royal Purple but if I do switch I well prob. go to Ams.
