Damn car must hate me :(

So I snap a rear sway bar link cause of this damn road. Fixing the link causes me to check out the car and I see the rear shock bushings are all split open and the strut rod bushings are shot so I order them and in the process to make sure I am ordering the right thing I notice a strut was leaking so I go ahead and order new struts and figure I will get matching rear shocks since I have to replace the bushings.
So today another part I really wanted shows up and I fix it only to find the drivers window stopped working. So I pull the door apart and fix the window regulator. Thinking its all good now and I have all the new parts I took it out to get some burgers. Nice drive, no problems ....... untill the trip back. I go to set the cruise controll and it wont set. Shortly after the display warns me to check the transmission. :(
Its shifting fine, no slippage or hesitation. I pull over and burn myself on the heater hose trying to get the dipstick out and see the level is normal. I turned off the car and restarted it and the cruise worked fine with no warnings. I wonder what is going out?

I was stuck in the drive thru for a while and its 103* out so IDK if mabey that caused the trans to get too hot. I also wonder if the trans being too hot disabled the cruise controll?

Check the trans harness. If your's was like mine, it was oil soaked and was shorted out. Caused all kinda issues, check trans, gear data error, no shift, steering wheel and seat moving without warning while driving, dead speedo, check engine light.

Well there should only be two or three sensors that would trip that warning so what are the reading? Fluid temp? Fluid level?

There's a fluid temp sensor, but no fluid level sensor. MLPS is also on this harness. IIRC, the rear O2 sensors are on this harness as well

So would a high trans temp cause the car to disable the cruise controll?
See I know it wasnt the interloc or brake switch kicking it off because I pulled over and checked the brake lights and I had to hit the brake to get out of park. The cruise didnt work again untill I shut the car off and restarted.
