before i get started i just would like to state that i love this site everytime im having a problem with my car i always come to the ls fourms and i see new topics about people experiencing my problems we all help each other out in the thread which is pretty cool

well guys this all started when i let my brother borrow my car for work because his was in the shop well anyways he was driving and he got a check transmission light and it happened once before so i explained to him that if that shows up he has to turn the car off and turn it back on so it can reset and this idot drove my car for a hundred miles with the transmisson gear saying E which caused my check engine light to come up friday morning i noticed this and all the sudden i get the check transmission light come up then the check engine light ups up and starts flashing and as im driving it liturally felt like my transmission droped i wouldent get a response from the gas pedal so i go back home and i was lookin through my papers from when i bought the car because i sure as hell wasnt going to pay 10000 for a 3 month car and i found out i bought warentty with the car for a full 5 years so i took the car to lincoln dealership and the warrenty covered the engine transmission solinod and the brake booster and they said the car should be ready tommorow but i still lose after all this because the warrenty requires a 200 deductable so now im beginning to wonder how much would a break boster and that solonoid cost if i were just to buy them and put them in by a family mechanic
?

Trust me... you are coming out ahead by paying the 200 deductible. Then at least the repairs should be warranted as well.

wooo, out of breath too but glad its getting taken care of.

I didn't think it was possible to write a sentence that long....

well guys i got a call from the dealer today and they said my warrenty was gonna cover everything but the airbag light which i knew was gonna happen so i asked what parts and he told me a wire connector and a clockspring and then i ask how much it would cost he said clock spring 120 and wire connector 30$ i go ok thats fine how much would it cost for instalation he told me 600 im like you guys get 450 for just switching 2 parts up
i was like are you serious i knew the dealer was a little bit more expensive but damn and then he tells me some bull:q:q:q:q like oo the clockspring is hard to reach so now i got to pay a 200 deductable plus a 95$ examination fee

but im pretty sure its better then paying to change the soloniod and brake booster wth ever that is how much you guys think a job like that would of cost?

tell them to just fix the solenoid and brake booster and do the clockspring yourself

Dude do you know how to write proper english? you're writing in run-on sentences.

I go home for vacation from the middle east in a month and a half, and I plan on getting my car checked out from the dealer to make sure every thing is in order. I'm also gonna check on my warranty info to make sure its all good and see how much its gonna cost to renew it, if im right its void at 50k and im at about 32k >_<
