Car show in Corsicana on Apr24th.

NOTE: I messed up. :( I thought it was like before but its not. It is now a total charity event and they send 100% of the proceeds to some childrens foundation. So if you want to show its $20. Its free to watch but to park on site and by my car you would have to pay the entry fee. Reason why is there is already 300 cars registered to show. Fortunatly 95% are not in our class so we all have a fighting chance. I would love to have fellow Marks in there with me but from free to $20 may keep most of you out. :( Its a shame cause so many nice Marks would have been a beautiful site. I sincerly hope most of you will still pony up and enter. It is all for charity and you also get door prizes. Last year I got a back masager and some glasses. They also have trophys and cash prizes for the winners.

Allright gents I got a PM from another member that wants to do a get together in Austin on Apr 17th. Sounds like a great idea to me but then I was thinking that there is a very large car show in Corsicana on the 24th. Just beautifull cars and they close ALL of downtown so the cars can be displayed.
My car is already entered and Sapperfire is bringing his too. I just spoke to John who is the owner of the car that GMAN just listed for sale and he has two Marks and if they are not sold he will bring both.
This is a really nice car show and all the shops in Corsicana shut down just for it. Live music, great food... the whole 9 yards.
Its $20 to enter and its free to just show off. I would love it if we could get some Mark VIIIs there and show in force.

Whos is!? We can all meet at the closed down carwash at 7AM to dust/clean off the cars and then by 7:30 do a convoy into the show itself.
There is always a huge group of Corvetts and Mustangs but a big group of Marks would be sweet! Dont care if the car still needs work, a Mark is still pretty.

Come on guys! Lets do it! Its an easy drive from Dallas, Houston or Waco.

I promis to run safety meetings. :D
 
I could possibly in for this but it will be a bit tight, especially since we're doing a 300 mile Shelby cruise in the Hill Country this weekend.

Let me see how everything starts to fall in place and make sure nothing is gonna run up and get me, then Lori and I will be in forsure, the next question is what the hell to bring? :confused:


You got my digits Bill keep me posted, I'll be pretty busy for the next few weeks now that everything have been moved to the new location, you or Tom may have to pull me up for air and check on me.

I mean an Austing GTG would be cake, but I'm not gonna whine about a coolass trip to Corsicana, we love to travel!!!

OK, so heres the thing. We need to meet up in Corsicana around 6:45 at this old carwash so we can all debug and dust down our cars.

So far John who owns the black LSC for sale the GMAN posted will bring it if its still not sold and his pearl white LSC too. My 98 will be there as well as Sapperfires 93 Nordic Blue. Hopefully lincolnboy will be off and can make it too.
I would love it if Tommy and Tiff can come with his LSC and I know times are tight so I would donate some gas money for him to come and if nobody else can chip in I will cover it all.
If GMAN brings both Marks then we would have a very nice showing. :)

Bill, I'm in with the black 98 LSC. She'll just be a star in your constellation, but happy to be there just the same. ;)
 
OK so we have me, Sapperfire, GMAN, SVO (maybe), twinbopilot, John (not a member but bringing two LSCs) and maybe Tommy can make it. So far thats a great showing! We may get our own block! :wrench

See they close off the center of downtown where the roads are brick and park the cars at 45* angles all the way down the street. If we have enough there may be a street of only Marks. :D

Alright boys and girls, if you need help getting there just PM me before Saturday and I will send you my number. Sapperfire, GMAN, SVO, XLRVIII, Kustomizingkid and Nolimit all have my number so you can contact them too.

This is the plan so far. On TX-31 in Corsicana there is but one bowling alley. Across from the bowling alley there is a closed down car wash and that is where we plan to meet so everyone can group together and clean off their cars. I will bring as many towles as I can and some instant detailer but please try to bring your own. I dont mind helping but the stuffs expensive. We will meet at quarter to 8 am and be ther till about 8:20-8:30 and then drive in to the show and set up.
Be a good idea to bring a folding chair for when we hang by the cars and also a cooler with some drinks. They do sell drinks there but no booze..... I dont think any way.
If you want your beer just make sure the cans are not visable (coozy or something). The food is excellent there though and not too expensive.

Ill be there but not showing. No booze well dam "flask". Fender cover if u got some room laser. What time the show start and end.
 
Starts after 9. The guys running it said 9 am to start bringing the cars in but I know they open up before that.

Boss told me and the other guy I work with take this saturday off and work next saturday. The guy josh I work with rather work this saturday and not the following night softball tourny. So gotta work. Can't stay long either newphews bday party that day. Ill see ya there should of bought an LvC shirt to wear.
