Car Alarm/remote start

What are you guys using to protect your car? Want a good alarm, and remote start. Had a Viper alarm with pager and start, and was a nice unit. Viper's are really the only ones I know in terms of decent quality.

I am looking at this one, but wanted to see if anyone else has some recommendations.

I've got a Compustar two-way with some extras. Up here the range is further than the US models which is a nice perk for a change

I've got a 2W900FMR.
That description in your link sounds weird as it mentions both the 2W900 and the 2WSSR, which I think are different units...

The 2WSSR is mentioned under related products. If you add it to the shopping cart, it shows the 2W900FMR, unless I missed what you were pointing out.

How do you like it? Seems a little goofy with the buttons being on the side, ever accidentally hit the buttons when in your pocket?

I have a clifford 5902x lcd screen two way one mile range. Have not used any compustar stuff.

Ah, reading comprehension owned me there, lol...

I've hit the button a few times when I got it (usually the #1 button which sucks as it unlocks the car.) I use a leather case for the remote now and haven't hit it since.
I hit the button on the face of my cheap remote for my Escort all the time in my pocket, so I think it's actually a bit better on the side.

kyle, what are the Clifford remotes like? I do like the looks of the newest stuff from them...
