The other day while driving to my girlfriends' house in my 1994 black Mark VIII, the car alarm began going off. The horns are blaring and the headlights are flashing on and off. Now recently I had new headlight lenses and an H.I.D. light system installed. But the new H.I.D. system had it's own wiring harness that simply plugged into the existing one. What an incredible difference they made! I live in upstate N.Y. and the temperaures have been running 2- 4 degrees. I got to her house and read the owners manual. It showed a 10 and a 15 amp fuse relating to the security system. I had already tried opening and closing doors, hood, trunk and leaving the battery disconnected and reconnecting it. All with no luck. Then I pulled those fuses. First seperately, then together. Again no luck. Finally I reached down between the radiator and disconnected the wires to the horns. Then I turned the lights on and left them on. I'll probably take it to my mechanic friend tomorrow. The car drives fine but you can still hear the click click, click click, of the alarm system. Has anyone else experienced this before ? Thanks, Gary.
