The other day while driving to my girlfriends' house in my 1994 black Mark VIII, the car alarm began going off. The horns are blaring and the headlights are flashing on and off. Now recently I had new headlight lenses and an H.I.D. light system installed. But the new H.I.D. system had it's own wiring harness that simply plugged into the existing one. What an incredible difference they made! I live in upstate N.Y. and the temperaures have been running 2- 4 degrees. I got to her house and read the owners manual. It showed a 10 and a 15 amp fuse relating to the security system. I had already tried opening and closing doors, hood, trunk and leaving the battery disconnected and reconnecting it. All with no luck. Then I pulled those fuses. First seperately, then together. Again no luck. Finally I reached down between the radiator and disconnected the wires to the horns. Then I turned the lights on and left them on. I'll probably take it to my mechanic friend tomorrow. The car drives fine but you can still hear the click click, click click, of the alarm system. Has anyone else experienced this before ? Thanks, Gary.

everyone has experienced this at one time or another... maybe not so much while driving though...

it always seems to be something different on every car.. yet someone else has had your exact problem...

mine was the ignition.. which i dont think would be the problem if you are driving..

or it could be your keyless module in the trunk... if its NOT wrapped in plastic then it could be your problem.. water getting to it and such...

Maybe you could try disconnecting the alarm module behind the glove box as a temporary measure.

i actually disconnected mine before.. and the alarm still went off..... the panic feature is controlled by the box in the trunk....

try anyway... its worked before.. but dont be surprised if it doesnt
