I've got a 2000 LS & I'm finding water in my trunk & I have no idea where it's coming from. It's always after it rains or I wash my car, I lift up the cover to where my battery & spare tire sits & I see water in the bottom. Also there is a little tube coming from the rear by the tailights. Problem is I can't see where this hose should be connected to. Could this be the source of my moisture, help!

we have found more times than not the water is coming from the license plate housing onthe deck lid distorting or braking allowing water to get in.remove the trunk hatch trim have someone get in the trunk with a flashlight spray water over the trunk you should be able to find it.good luck.

try looking for the leak that could be coming in from behind the tail lights - mine was. Took them off, added some goop to the bolt pads and it fixed the problem.

the little tube sounds like your battery vent tube. I should be connected to the vent on the battery - allows the gas venting to the outside.
