you can remove the electrical connector and plug the vacuum line - then remove the EGR and replace it with a blocking plate (and plug off the exhaust manifold tube).
It will throw a code complaining the EGR is not working correctly - unless...
You then use the SCT software to tell the car it does not have a EGR. This will prevent it from throwing a code - however - it will say EGR 'not ready' since there is no longer an EGR to test. No way around that I know of.
I think it will show a 'Not Ready' code then..
