It was the trans not the engine and yes he got rid of it..

the cost to make custom cams, and the cost to install them - very few LS owners would ever purchase them. It's a non-starter.

I've thought about it. But I'm also contemplating how far I want to go with a car this expensive to modify.

But wouldn't it be sweet to build an all motor setup that would beat an SC'd LS?

pulling the heads is even past the average wrench turner's effort. The timing-chain threads show some of what it takes to get there.

I know you're joking about the 'hidden power' of an all-motor setup.

I'm aware of the process. It's nice to have an extra vehicle, so the down time of the LS wouldn't be as big of an issue.

And yes, I didn't think it needed to be said that it was a joke about an all motor LS outperforming an FI'd LS.
