wow youve seen it too,lol ya orice is high but its close to me so maybe i could talk him down.. Assuming everything is ingood working order and there are no surprises what would be an appropriate price to offer

Yeah, i mentioned it in this thread:

Might be worth speaking to k9t8m, as he's seen it a few times.

It's book value is less than 4500 but it's worth depends on what you are willing to pay. (assuming it's really in great condition)

It's at a dealer, right? Not sure how far they will budge on price, but i'd check the car over, find a few problems and start out with a real 'low ball' offer.

What they are asking is well into good condition gen 2 territory - they'll never sell at, or near to that price.

I'd say the 3K range would be reasonable for a good condition, well maintained 94.

I have looked at the one above several times, but have never talked price. I would be more than happy to go take another look if you want.

LsUnV2, This is off the topic, but that car in your post is gorgeous. Is that a standard color or aftermarket. It reminds me of the Ferrari red. Sure is sharp looking. Gary in Elmira, NY.

yes it is stock. Vivid red metallic i think. ferrarri red is more of a non metallic red but i chose to go with silver rims with the ferarri concept in mind. I think silver is the new chrome lol

That would be great...Thanks.. I am actually real familiar with that area, washington IL i think it said, and im about 2 hours away from there.. I love both of my ls's but i love the red one more and am thinking about a possible trade for that car maybe.. I actually need the whole car to be in great condition to consider buying... if you would check it out it would be greatly appreciated....keep me posted

there is more to these cars to watch out for than just miles, age is a killer on these cars, low miles or not, you could end up investing tons in suspension parts, ball joints, tie rods, air ride components. i have personally had a few diff very low mile 1st gen marks in my shop that needed complete suspension rebuilds because they were shot.
honestly, if 7,000 is what they are asking, i would hop skip and jump right past it, there is no way that they will accept an offer for what its really worth if they are starting at that insane amount. offering 3000 would be insulting to them, and realistic to you or us. dealers only know one thing, it was a 40,000 dollar car, they dont realize they are 15 years old now, they thing because at one point it was that expensive, that its still worth a ton. keep searching, you can find another really nice lower mile 1st gen for less than half of that, 7000 is what a clean well taken care of low mile 98 would go for. i bought a black 93 not long ago with over 3000 worth of receipts for new parts with 77k miles for 1500, all it needed was a paint job. they are out there, just keep searching. people need money right now bad, try to buy private party, you'll find a way sweeter deal than any dealer will offer.

Ill go look at it sometime within the next couple days. Ill let you know what i find. I might even take some pics.

It's all about how much you want it! Somewhere out there there is a person who will pay for it, although they may be foolish. Figure out how much it's worth to you & don't pay a penny more. $3,000 + or- a bit like others have said sounds about right.
