Your strawman is false. Nobody is trying to "make the poor rich" nor has anyone promised that that would be the result of Obama's tax plan. The goal is to improve the quality of life of everyone, not just the rich. A small tax break (say $5000) for 95% of the population is going to improve the quality of life for MANY more people and to a MUCH GREATER EXTENT than a $200,000 tax break to the few who make 10s of $millions.

Did you NOT appreciate that "economic stimulus check" you received a few months ago? SSDD dude, except BuSh handed it out. If you think giving the middle class a break is so bad, I expect you to sent that check back to the IRS?

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Biden is partially right.
He will be tested and he's going to make decisions that will be unpopular with the country and it'll be apparent that he's wrong. Because, the point of testing a guys mettle is to see how he responds. This isn't a college campus, this is international relations. After a leader fails the test, or just display weakness, the ENTIRE international community knows that they can do what ever they want and everything runs amok.

I've mentioned before, some people have faith in Obama becaues they figure he's smart and able to learn. If elected he'll make sure to have good, solid people around him. Provided that's the case, regardless what he does domestically, on issues of security we'll be o.k.

I don't agree, and this statement by Biden is confirming that. Obama is going to pick people like his fringe mentors to surround him, advise him, and shape his policy. Perhaps he'll pick a few show ponies when it comes to appointing cabinet positions, but the day-to-day stuff is going to be directed by guys cut from Ayers clothe, not Collin Powell.

This is a straw man, as approximately 40% of Americans don't pay federal income tax. Actually, this is a flat out lie.

If the goal of socialism is to improve the quality of life, why is North Korea starving to death? Why Cuba? Why is China moving toward capitalism after so many decades of socialism? Why did the Soviet Union collapse?

Since you're trying to make this personal, I can tell you that that check, which was socialism personified, didn't do jack squat for me. If you really think the middle class' quality of life was improved by that, you're a total fool. That money was printed out of thin air, and will result in more inflation and less dollar value, which hurts the middle class.

Obviously you took Econ 101, but you only attended one day the entire semester, and that day it rained and the teacher didn't show.

When I said 95% of the population, I meant to say 95% of taxpayers. But you knew that and still tried to twist my intent. No intelectual honesty there.
