Took off my wheels to inspect brakes and check suspension bolts and accidently broke my damn lug nut stud. Is it easy to repair and how would i got about doing this?
pop old one out and get new stud. dont think you need to remove hub, may need to remove some things in the way. put the stud in and use some washers or a bolt to go over the stud and use another bolt to tighten down. tightening will pull the stud through and tight to the hub ....
very common - I have now broke over a dozen. you have to spin the wheel so that the stud will pop out the back between the hole in the spindle. then just find something the right size to beat it out - I use a phillips and a hammer.
Quick, nice sig. ive broke about 5 or 6 but never tightening them down, it always happens while loosening them. i thinks its cuz mechanics always over tighten lugs
