yea, so i'm down the junk yard this weekend looking for some parts for the new mark viii, side marker lens, shifter (shifter was broken off and screw driver was used) and a few other clips and misc items including a grill for the 94 thats missing one,yea so i find one thats good and for some reason, why is beyond me I decide to break the plastic support behind the grill. so what do i use but a tire iron and what does idiot me do? miss the support and hit the grille, now being i meant business when i was swinging this tire iron , I hit this grille and blew straight through it one shot, took out about 2/3 of it atleast....ugh I'm sooo freakin pissed!!!!! Anyways just thought yous would like to share in my frustration

I broke the first Mark grille I tried to remove... no with a tire iron mind you... but it was broken regardless.

Sorry 'bout your bad luck. But you will find another one for sure. Then you can look back at that day and give yourself a good laugh. If it's any consolation, I have quite a bit to laugh about mechanically. Hang tough my friend.

haha.. i have a similar story

i found a grill at a yard in clayton.. .. guy only charged me $100 for a near perfect grill and he removed it..

i take this grill to my body guy to talk about cutting it apart and making it custom..

upon arriving.. he asks to see the wing in my back seat..

i move the seat forward to get out the wing... and i hear "CRUNCH!!"

apparently.. when i move the seat forward .. the grill fell off the front seat onto the floor... then the automatic seat moved forward and squeezed the grill against the front until it snapped in 2...

well,.. i lost it

i was cursing and throwing the grill pieces ... by the time i calmed down.. it was in about 75 pieces

so i feel your pain

yea it sucks, but i'm thinking, this car is more of our beater ( little bro is going to use it to drive to school) if i can't find a cheap grille maybe make a special mesh grille, frame it out and use mesh, maybe put a lincoln emblem on the bottom left

if your lil bro is gonna be driving it to school last thing i would buy for the car is a grille, and a "cheep" grille is usually in a couple pieces. gen 1 grilles are worth there weight in gold especially a mint one. buy devilchilds grille and tuck it away till your ready to put it on the car like when your bro isnt driving it anymore

haha yea i may do that....if i can get a yard one i'll snatch it, if not no biggie, its our beater/ spare car (some beater huh?) I kinda really want to make one....if its bad a$$ looking enough I may keep it for mine but it really looks like crap with 1/3 of a grill as is so we'll see....
