What's is eveyone think about the four door 6 series?

To extend the M6 Gran Coupe further from the M5 which was always BMW's High performance four door. The new BMW M6 Gran Coupe will spearhead more power taking the power of the engine to 580BHP through the 7 Speed M-DCT.

Originally intended but dialed back for the M5 due to the conception of the Gran Coupe , Gran Coupe will be the flagship M model. BMW M6 Gran Coupe will also bring some performance related technology such as Carbon Ceramic brake discs and exclusive wheel options.

M6 Gran Coupe will also identify a unique approach to performance inspired luxury in conjunction with the BMW Individual department. Including exclusive Carbon Trim, and Uniquely trimmed individual sports seats with two tone trim. To enhance the new 4dr Coupe's sporting 4 passenger interior that continues the overall sportiness of the 6er interior but extends the design further onto the rear doors and through the rear passenger

Side and rear shots? I've always like the four door coupe body types like the CLS and A7.

And with all due respect, we have the above paean to BMW why, here on a Lincoln website?

Hot damn!!!...BMW is in a class of it's own. Why can't Lincoln step it up!

I am on the same boat. They look sexy.
I will try to dig up for some more pictures.

Most of us on this board are car guys and it gives everyone something else to talk about other than "What wheels fit my car" or "My car hesitates on full throttle, HELP" 25 times a week.

Let's see the inside of those back doors... They are tiny as hell!

The picture attached is the first and only rendering/concept published, but i will see if i can come up with more pictures.

I think the point he was making was more towards the fact that you posted it in the LS section, as opposed to one of the more relevant locations for it:

Probably because he feels a greater affinity for this section and its inhabitants. I take it as a compliment. I hardly venture into other sections based upon my personal relevences and also my brief encounters with Mark guys show they are asses in a part ;)

bimmer bummer

I feel extremely 'Ho-Hum' about any bim. This website has sections for other than Lincolns and Cads. And I look on Mark VIII owners as part of the same family. They may not be as cool as we LS owners,:D but they ARE part of the family!

You hit the nail in the head. Thank you.

One thing that has amazed me is horsepower thru the years. Growing up a 5.0 Mustang was the sh!t, and we're talking like 225hp. The Grand National with 235hp was pretty untouchable. Then things progressed with the LT1 and the like, still under 300hp. Now you got all kinds of 300+hp V6's and "standard" V8's in the upper 300/lower 400hp range, Not to mention a full line of production cars pushing well over 400hp. Where does it end? In 10 years what will be the average car's HP, and most importantly what really is the need for such incredible HP ratings. Driving a 280hp car these days almost makes it feel like a 4 banger. Good thing there are still plenty of "economy" cars on road that can let the LS's balls hang a little bit. Nothing like a light turning green and beating the Minivan in the lane next to you to the on-ramp or turn lane! Woohoo!

Man I love Bmw's Such nice cars in my opinion :D I actually have lots of love for other cars as well that are not in my price range.

Blame the American "gotta be bigger" mentality, but I hate coups. That BMW however is a thing of beauty. I nevered liked coups, roadsters, or any tiny toy sports car. BMW Z3/4s, and Audi tts are just silly. Of course their are exceptions like old-timey ford roadsters. Thats one of the reasons why I love the LS, because it is a sedan. Thank god they never decided to shrink down the corvette over the years.

Since you feel negative about 'little' cars, it's obvious you never felt the 'G' force of going around a curve or pulling past a 7000 RPM redline in a Cobra roadster!

I'm sure he hasn't but what would have to do with the opinion of apperance, i think bugatti's are ugly but they are still fast.

I drove a nascar around the Michigan Internation speedway, but that doesnt change my mind on how boring of sport it is to watch

I love it, I'm not a two door car fan. Never have been,

I'm a huge 4 door super sport car, id take a Maserati quattroporte or S63 AMG over any super car any day of the week...

I haven't always been a fan of 4 door cars, but they've grown on me to the point where if a vehicle has both a 2- and 4-door application I lean towards the 4. Of course on really small cars (early to mid 90's 3 series for example) I do like the old country central European feel of the 2 door. Depends on the car, really.

I like this new BMW. Not enough to make me choose it over an Audi A8 W12, but it is nice. What I like about the audi is how much interior room there is available in the back seat. I have 2 kids, and need all the room I can get. You can drive that Audi as a sports car or a limousine. The BMW no doubt is fast, but I'd have to compare all specifications before making a final decision.

Of course, I can't afford either one. I drive a 2000 ls v8. If I could afford one, I'd probably be spending way more time over on l4p instead of Lvc lol.

Wow, that was quite the onslaught of initials.

The end of the statement had to do with Corvettes.

I like broccoli! (Another statement that has nothing to do with the original comments):D
