I am soon adding an NOS 100 shot wet nitrous kit to my 00 v8 ls and im trying to find out which plug to go with. I know i need to go a few degrees lower but i cannot seem to find any. any help would be apreciated.

you want to go with a copper thick blade plug 2 degrees colder than stock.

you're stock are a RC12YC

so look for a RC10YC - cross it

I use Autolite plugs and went copper, colder and gapped smaller for my supercharger.

The standard copper part number for the Champion plug for the LS It is an RC12YC or an RC12YC4.
- The "R" means it is a resistor plug.
- The "C" is its shell style - a "C" shell type means a 5/8" hex with a 14mm thread dia. and a 3/4" reach.
- The 12 is your heat range number, usually in increments of 1.
- The "Y" and "C" are your electrode designs, in this case the "C" stands for copper electrode, and the "Y" is for a standard projection.
- The last number is a generic gap, this is done for ease of installation, so a 4 in this case means a .40 gap (the LS calls for a .44 gap).

quik, have you had any problems with the plugs fouling out on you? on all the cars that ive tried, ive always had champion plugs foul out on me.

not yet - but that is the trade you make when going with colder plugs - they do not get as hot so therefore foul sooner - period.

But - if you keep the hotter plugs in - pre-iginition is likely and bye-bye engine....

i have no intentions of doing this to my ls, but in my first cars/trucks i have put them to stock gap and stock specs and they all fouled out

i also just added those GMS coil packs.. is that going to effect the gap or should i just keep it around .40

sorry - I have no idea what makes the Mustang COPs different than the LS COPs other than packaging.... then the higher output of the GMS Mustang COPs over stock COPS.....
