Hello LVC, it's been awhile!
Still have the same silver birch 06 LS from way back when.
Still pretty and driving well at ~80K miles with Torrie's performance tune.

Bunch of stuff has been done to it over the past couple of years (all replacement parts original Motorcraft) :
  • added eyelids (fiberglass and painted)
  • added M3 spoiler
  • powder coated wiper arms (factory paint had faded badly)
  • replaced factory exhaust tips with Vibrant 1207 stainless steels
  • NAV HU upgrade from Z110BT to Z140BH (software mod since the Z110BT/Z120BT/Z130BT/Z140BH are the same HU hardware-wise)
  • new compressor
  • new alternator
  • new transmission solenoid pack (classic hard R shift)
  • new upper + lower control arms (all around IIRC)
  • replaced all COPs
  • total cooling system overhaul - whole nine yards (just that unlucky)
    • radiator (cracked side tank)
    • degas (factory still OK, but what the heck)
    • t-stat (blew and left me stranded)
    • coolant crossover tube (haven't seen too many of those fail on LVC)
    • all hoses + plastic bits

Here's a couple of recent pics :

Super clean mint LS for sure, well done!

Looks good.:)

You still have Torres contact info? I have an XCAL. I need tunes for it for gen 2.

Yessir. "Torrie R. McPhail" <torrie AT fastpartsnetwork.com>
Actually got in touch with him in (I want to say) 2015 to have him slightly adjust my tune (was pinging very occasionally under the right conditions).

So first off, +1 for the Tex Murphy profile pic! And secondly, how do you not have the K&N Typhoon intake?!

Nice! Someone recognized the avatar :)

As far as the intake, never got around to it since the car was still under warranty until just last year (if you can believe it).
Of course this meant that I had to reflash the car every time before it went back to the dealer...

Saw a couple of cooling threads here and there, and in case anyone's wondering,
I'll echo @joegr 's datapoint that the coolant temp hovers around 194F even in ~90F Texas weather.

Prior to replacing a fair number of defective cooling bits (IINM at least the rad, degas, coolant crossover),
it was hovering more around the 208-220 range in similar weather.
