I just got back from the Ford/Lincoln dealer now with my car having stuttering shaking issues, turns out I have a 3rd coil that has gone bad and it has solved my problem. The coils going out is that a normal problem or just normal wear and tear? I am at about 88K miles. Coils 2,3,and 4 have gone bad.

Also got my new Pioneer avh-p3300bt in today so I had to get it installed. It took about 1.5 hours and that's because I soldered all my connections. It was very easy.

Lawton, OK?

It isn't normal wear and tear per say... But it is a defect with the coils - just something to live with as an owner of this vehicle. Luckily they are relatively inexpensive and don't need replaced all that often. Good rule of thumb is when you need to replace one, replace them all.

In-dash looks good. Is that a navigation app you have purchased? Or what is the deal with that?

lol ya lawton, ok
Thanks, Just motionX nav app, not too bad better than the google maps on the iphone.

See, I wish I could get the Google maps with the phone's GPS to display into my in-dash as my primary navigation. I find myself using my phone's nav more than the nav software in my pioneer...

i have the same indash

did you have to purchase the seperate navigation unit for the pioneer or did you just add the app for you phone to display on the screen.......

Its just an iphone navigation app that works with my head unit, goto app store and lookup motionx its 10 bucks a year for voice guided navigation its pretty cool. i think the app itself is a buck and comes with like a month of free voice guidance to try out.

re:

does it only work for iphone or can android get the app as well............Im only asking because i was thinking about getting the add on navigation unit for the indash but if i dont have to then hey might as well right......

not sure if the android has it or if the android is compatible with this radio lol we are an iphone family. wouldnt hurt to check the android market to see if it is there, but if your looking for android compatibility with this radio I would google it or youtube it. but if it works then you would save a ton of money, add on nav is so expensive.

thanks ill try it out......if it doesnt work i might need to change phone companies....seems like iphone has everything on lock now adays............lol

If you run Android look up Google Maps Navigation. It's not Google Maps. It's an actual voice-command nav app. It came pre-loaded on my Droid Bionic and it's excellent - and FREE.

Android phones don't interface with headunits as far as I know.

That looks nice,

Where did you get your phone holder I want one for my car just not sure about them as they seem kind of bulky, or is it not to bad.

its really not bad at all as far as bulk goes I have tried a few and they were too much for me.
I ordered the bracket from here,
http://www.bracketron.com/products/custom-bezel-mounts

Its on sale for a buck that's why I went this route and the Bracketron phone holder I picked up at my local sears for $16 and it was made for this bracket. It worked out perfect. If you want I can take a couple shot of the bracket without the phone in if you want.

Install guide here,
