Apologies if I missed anything in the search function, I've tried that and google to no avail...

Alright, we all know the LS is one the DEW98 platform and the first gen XF is based upon it but with some differences, one of them being a wider track width.

My first question though, will the oil pan/differential combo from the XF even fit between the LS rails and clear the cradle? If it does, what about using the XF knuckles? I know they're (along with the control arms) are different part numbers than the LS units but will they interchange or will I run into massive geometry issues.

If all of that clears, are there even rear gearsets available for the LS, specifically to match the XF awd final drive ratio?

Yes, I know, there will be electrical headaches (to put it nicely) to overcome as well, but first I want to see about mechanical feasibility

It is my semi-educated opinion that you may be able to get one of the 2009+ X250 XF AWD drivetrain combinations (or combination of combinations) to fit into place on an LS frame, but you'd never be able to control anything unless you replaced the EMC & programmed all of the vehicle-wide modules, the TCU, and the tuning for this ambitiously expensive idea-of-a-project. It would honestly be more realistic to just buy an XF. The LS has more in common with the S-Type, and even that has some significant non-interchangeable parts. The XF is another step away since it's got its own significant non-interchangeable parts frome the S-Type. Other than that all you need is time, tools, & resources. Might be tricky passing inspection somewhere though.

This opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it

Also, I don't think anyone on this site or any of the Jaguar sites would be able to properly answer your questions because it would require the LS and the XF parts in order to physically compare all measurements. Unless you work at a wrecking yard you won't have access to the parts
