Auto window roll down from key pad how to get them to go up?

If you depress the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for 4 seconds you enable/disable global unlock.

Isn't that little book full of exciting and interesting things?!?!?!?

i've always heard people saying "the good book this" and "the good book that" i never really realized how good this book really was. ;)

Yeah, that one's not in the "book." You have to turn the key to the run position. The list below is for another Ford product. The LS cluster does some of the things indicated, but not all.

Now to research some of that stuff. And thanks for the correction. I meant to say the run position.

Thanks for the info!

I meant to say the run position.

i don't really like how there is not really distinct notch that you can feel for each position, this is the only car that i have had that is like that.

this thread should be merged with the official owners thread, and made a sticky

BTW turning the key to unlock will also roll the windows down.

More likely the regulator snaps.

Yes you all thought it was just a lousy POS. Turns out it was a carefully engineered safety feature. Designed to break at that point just before a toothpick would break.

And for those of you that want a new emoticon...

Something else too... For those of you interested in making your own repairs, or learing about this vehicle,,, Go to ebay, and buy the manuals specific to your model year. It is $50-$150 well spent. There is a reason Chiltons and Haynes don't make them!!! Torque specs, and proper procedures, are very important. These aren't 1970's F series pickups!!!

hold the phone, theres a manual for this car?! wtf.

if you want your key fob to do all these crazy things then buy an auto start with all the options.

its a square little piece of plastic with 4 buttons not a damn iphone.

If you aren't mechanically inclined, and don't know what you are doing with these cars, then take it to a shop for repairs. No remote start is going to save you. In fact, if you install one, and it F's up, you are going to cause more problems than you want to deal with. If you can't understand the manual, then you should probably sell the car, because you won't be able to afford the repairs. Sorry, but it seems this car has turned into a "hobbyist vehicle only", unless you know what you are doing.

If only there were some sort of small book that could explain that and the other features that you don't know that your car has... If ever there were such a book, I'd probably call it an owner's manual. If I were Lincoln, I would even put free downloads of this "owner's manual" on my website. I might require owner's to register to get to it, but that would be as hard as I would make it. Some day...
Man, LVC needs to make a classics best of the best section. It would go down in annals of time as top ten in internet history, easy.
