Auto Transporters - Any Recommendations?

I shipped a car about 3 months ago. I cant remember the name of the company I used, but I got on google and searched auto transport and filled out about 100 quote deals. I went with the company that could get it to me the quickest, and was the cheapest. I went to their website and talked to them on the phone, all was legit. They were $750 cheaper than DAS.

I use http://www.intercitylines.com/ . After spending a lot of time researching, these are the guys that do a lot of the Pebble Beach Concourse and Barrett-Jackson auction stuff. The own there transports, fully enclosed, temperature controlled, air ride.

The last time I used them was with my Lotus, there was a $3.5million Ferrari above my car...

It was only a few $100s more than using the run-of-the-mill broker type transporters. You have to be careful that most of these companies are more of a broker, and really just reselling spots on other peoples' trucks. Meaning if there is a problem - it's a nightmare to resolve.

Hi Guys,

Been around these boards for a while, but never post....however I wanted to X2 Quik LS's recommendation on Intercitylines. This is top notch, basically white glove service. They document every last minute detail when prepping the car to ship. If you ever watch "Chasing Classic Cars" that's who Wayne uses. I had my Viggen shipped to me through them because it was too low for normal carriers and InterCity has a lift gate....

Wonderful service especially if you have something "special" to ship....they are a bit more than the other shippers, but well worth it.

Nightmare???...... at least you wake up from those. Watch who ships your stuff.

that lotus is real nice haha

I move cars from time to time. Just delivered a '67 Mustang a few weeks ago from St Louis Mo to Dallas Tx.

Reliable is VERY GOOD company. IMHO the "best" for moving autos. BUT they are pricey.

Just to make a suggestion. Try getting quotes from a few moving companies. Graebel Van Lines is one of the best. If not the best out there. Try 800-383-5444 ask for Gary Paul. He is the GM. He can take care of you.

u ship

go to a website called uship.com and you put on there where you want the car shipped and transporters actually bid on your shipment i got a car shipped from new york to florida for $400 cause the guy needed to fill up his load..
