So I finally get time to install the asham 8 in the 98 and after it's all said and done the front end is on the ground and the rear is in 4X4 mode I've checked and double checked my wiring and can't seem to find the problem. I hear the front solenoids click open as soon as the compressor kicks on then it runs till it times out. WTF is going on?

Did you test after you put in the first board to make sure
It still runs in stock mode
If so did you put all 4 jumpers back to the other position so the
Asham control works

Did it say anything in the trouble shooting part of the manual
If not time to start emailing

You wired it backwards.

Its one of three things (all of which I have done)
1. The intercept board is wired backwards. Easy to do staring at the pic then laying upside down to do it.
2. The control board is wired backwards.
3. The upper and lower half of the control boards are not connected together fully.

Well I finally figured it out. Turns out that board C the ground circuit is no good I ran separate grounds for everything and now it works. I'll clean the car up, put the 18's back on and get some pics.

How did you run separate grounds wouldn't you have to solder on the bords
There by voiding the warranty

All I did was add a extra ground wire to the corresponding ground wire using the provided schematic on page 5 of the instructions.

The arrows represent the wire I added.

For obvious reasons I don't have the "C" board to take pics of but when the replacement gets here I'll snap a shot of it before it gets sent back.

ah,the ASHAM8. I wired mine wrong and fried a strip. got ticked and ordered a RAY Switch. Good luck

Interesting. Thats the same issue my last one had. He sent me a new board. I thought it was a fluke but guess not.
