I will be purchasing a new air ride compressor for the mark VIII i just bought since it seems the old one is shot. Which one is better Arnott or American air suspension? Anyone use either. Or should i just go aftermarket and install an independent air ride system? I Don't want the coil conversion I want to stay with bags. Thanks on any thoughts.

I say this without a doubt or moment of hesitation-
AMERICAN AIR SUSPENSION is the better vendor.
Better product, better customer service and support.

I made the mistake of buying my first air compressor from Arnott. It died within a month. Then I got a second one...(they never refunded the purchase price of the first one) and it lasted about 13 months.

So, for the past six years, I've purchased all of my air ride components, when available, from Eddie at American Air Suspension.

But specifically on the issue of which compressor to get, American Air sells the best rebuild.

And if you intend to keep the Air Ride and the car into the future, the Spider Valve extreme is a good investment.

AMERICAN AIR SUSPENSION all the way. Swap compressors and send your old one back to him within 30 days because he gives you a $50 credit and gives you the time to remove and replace. What other vendor does this? His compressors are OEM but better than they were from the factory because of the way he rebuilds them.

I even bought my conversion kit from AAS...... Eddie was very informative and helpful........ The guys writing before me really know their stuff........ Listen to them......

Eddie didn't have the parts that i needed but helped me get my car going anyway. That says alot about him for me. Most places anymore don't want to help you even after you've bought stuff from them.

I went with the Arnott compressor, been working well for over a year.
It is a updated design and draws less amps. Did keep the original compressor incase it fails me.
Will go with a AAS rebuilt one if it does.

I will be giving AAS a call tomorrow to order. I didn't see them listing the spider valve's any more. Does anyone know how to manualy raise the car with out one? or if its even posible. thanks.
