Arizona threatens to cut off LA power...precious.

...does that sound even like the start of a civil war?
And that the federal government is actively isolating and using identity politics to divide us and drive us to being at each other's throats?

...actually that would undermine the principle of California, not Arizona. The issue is geography.
It means Ca. would have to sell their stake in the generating plants and transmission lines if they weren't just grandstanding opportunistic politicians.

Two words; interstate commerce.
It won't happen.

And here in Colorado we have been pondering - how to shut the Colorado River off to Arizona and yet, let LA have its share...

That power isn't grown on trees - our snow melt creates a huge amount of Arizona's and California's power supply... along with almost all of Arizona's water supply....

Hmmmm..... about those water leasing rights...

Because of how the water rights are written the eastern half of Colorado is half the time in drought mode, while our water is diverted off to states where no one should live - it is a stupid desert! Maybe we should just keep it. Out west, water is gold - and we have it... maybe we should 'renegotiate' the terms.... ;)

Southern California shouldn't exist the way it is at all, they get most of their water from northern California. The only reason we haven't shut off our water supply to them is because they have way too much political power because of their large popular, a large sum of which are illegal.... but are still counted as part of the census...
