I was at the junkyard on Friday and found this shift knob in a 95+ Explorer Sport with a manual transmission. It's obviously aftermarket, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere online. I found one similar to it on eBay, but it has a different mounting system. This one uses setscrews. The one I found on eBay screws on and has a jam-nut, and it's a different color. I think it looks really cool and couldn't bear to leave it there. The Cobra emblem is actually set into it. Whatcha guys think?

How much you think I could get for it? Anyone on here with a mustang or cobra interested in it?

i bet its just some after market ball. fords usually screw into the shifter or just press on
(rubber knobs) the set screw is a giveaway it aint original.

I knew it was aftermarket(said so in my original post), I just wanna know where it was purchased.

theres a handful of them on ebay. if you google cobra snake shift knob youll see some in different colors.

is it engraved or does it look sandblasted? I have etched designs into shift knobs using a sandblaster and mask.

I think its custom made by someone! Look at the fangs on the Cobra, it looks like it has buck teeth! I don't think someone would mass produce it looking like that. It looks beautiful though. I'd flaunt it if I had a 5 speed.
