I am about to take my intake off tonight and replace the hose that runs under there!! I just will not have time to get it off before the parts stores close! So I don't know what size it is and I have to have the car back together by tomorrow!!!

Is there anyone that has a spare motor laying around that can check the size dia./length and post it on here for me pretty quickly? It is 7:22 pm here and they close at 9pm!

BTW, the hose that I am talking about is underneat the intake and underneath the sound shield? <------I think that's what it is!!! Right where between the knock sensors!!! It runs from the back of the water pump to the heater hose tubes on the back of the engine!!

Well thanks yall!!!

5/8 IIRC

You should just buy 3 feet of 1/2", 5/8"

It is either one of those, and the cost of bulk heater hose is low enough to get both. Get new claps as well.

I got the hoses but I never took the intake off! I will do it tomorrow!!! When I am topping off the crossover tube I can rock the car with my knee and bubbles will pop and the level goes back down, then I fill it again and rock the car and another bubble pops and the level goes down! I don't know what the he!! it is. I hopefully will find out tomorrow when I replace the hose under the intake!!!

sounds like you just have air in the system. make sure the nose of the car is in the air a little and continue shaking and filling till it wont take anymore before you rip the intake off for nothing

Always wondered what was up with all the exclamation points? There are other punctuations available to end a sentence. Unless you really are just yelling the words in your head or are stating them with dramatic urgency cause of meth.

Anywho, I didnt realize you were putting a gen 1 motor in your car. The 2nd gens dont have a hose, only a tube that would not leak unless it was completly rotted. But since the first gens have that small section of 5/8" hose I could see that leaking.

Just happen to have one of each outside.

Yeah laser I put in a 93 engine, you might not remember that when I first started posting on here I was trying to figure out what year my engine was and what all the differences were so I could make it work.

I of course changed the intake and valve covers. And the Heater hose tube in the back of the engine since one has a temp sensor on there and one does'nt. I still don't know if I got that combination right. Could you show me a pic of the back of both of those engines? Where the tube is for the heater hose. I think I got it right but not sure. I put the one w/o the temp sensor in it! Hope that is right for a gen 2. Well thanks!

And for the exclamation points, I use them because I am a very confident speaker and I have alot of emphasis on everything I say!! And also because I got use to being around total fuggin idiots in prison and always had to explain stuff and put alot of emphasis on everything I said so people could understand me! But I'll try and lay off of 'em.
