Anyone have this grille?

That wouldn't be a bad idea :D

Didn't you post a long time ago about this and no one jumped on it? :)

Yeah, I guess ppl are scared to take the plunge or something. I had a few guys interested in buying the mesh with me but then they backed out so I ended up buying the whole roll myself. Only one person has sent me their grille to do but many have said they are interested. Oh well, maybe later on ppl will be talking about how hard it is to find the very few Alax7 repicla grilles produced :shifty:, there are only 2 in existence as of now

^^^ Thanks

If you want to be different, I would suggest you make one yourself with weaved mesh since the cdc grille is also very very hard to find and costs a pretty penny too. The replica OI made looks great. The cdc grille comes with weaved mesh, which is what I used to make the replica with. Unless you're very close up, you can't tell the difference. The cdc mesh is slightly thicker than the one I used, but the one I have was easier to work with and cut. I still have a giant roll of mesh if you want some. 15$ or 2 pieces for 20$

I've got a 2 piece grille on the way and really want to make one for myself. Once it gets here I'll order a pice of mesh from you. The grille is expected by Friday.

I'd love to do the bottom bumper part too but don't know how to make it look right without the LSE.

Both pieces for $20 or just two grill-sized pieces?

Nice. I am currently testing out some new adhesive I bought. A member on here used it and said it was pretty strong. The epoxy I used wont come off by itself, but since it's attaching to chrome, with some little/medium force it might. When I got mine back from the shop, one epoxy part came up. I just used super glue to hold it back down though, all good so far.

I was also thinking that the back where the mesh will attach could be sanded down until you hit the plastic.

Oh and this other glue is like super glue but when you spray this spray on it, it hardens in a second. It adheres to the chrome maybe 3 time better than the epoxy did. So you could wrap the mesh with epoxy where it will touch the grille and then glue the epoxy down to the chrome with the instant glue. You put some of the spray on the surface, the glue on the other, and when you press the two together, it dries in a second. I got it today and was testing out, looks like it would work pretty good.

here's the link for the glue.

if you have or know of really strong stuff to bond the mesh to the grille, let me know.

The cdc mesh is cut diagonally, thats how I did mine as well. If I cut from side to side at a 45 degree angle, the piece that comes out is big enough for an lse lower mesh, not sure about sports bumper, and also for a grille piece. So it's 20 for a 2 pieces big enough for top and bottom. If you want extra pieces, you can add for 5 a piece.

I can measure how big the sports bumper opening is and let you know if you want to do a bottom piece. I can also cut you one at a normal angle, not diagonally like the cdc grille.

Ah, Alax you got the insta cure stuff huh? That stuff ain't going nowhere. once it's in place, it's in place in my experience.

yeah.lol. There is also a spray to get it off though, paint thinner should work too

Looking for the right grille now...will be in touch soon I hope Alax7.

I also would love to see a regular non-LSE bumper done but not just laid over the top because that would look cheap. HMMMM

Well for that you would have to cut out the bars in the bumper but once you cut them, they are gone. I doubt anybody will do it unless they are really set on it. I have my reg bumper in the garage but I dont think I want to cut out the lower grille on it
