Another Tire & Wheel Question

Im looking at getting these 18" wheels. The deal is to goo to pass up, a friend of mine took them off his Ford Edge. The bolt pattern is a 114 and the offset is 35mm. My mechanic told me that wheel adapters aren't a bad idea as long as they are a one piece adapter. So im trying to figure out if these will work with the offset and adapter. I don't want to get them put on and find out they stick out like some 13" Dayton's. I did a search but couldn't find any info on here about anybody using adapters. Could one of you more seasoned LS experts give me some input?

35 offset WILL stick out WITHOUT an adapter.

So i posted this thread with the understanding that these where 35mm offset. Well with further searching i found that was wrong. That was just the offset off the wheel suggested on tire rack. Other sites have suggestions with offsets as high as 44mm. So im trying to find out the factory offset for these Ford Edge wheels. I looked on Team Ford's website and call the local dealership. Got nowhere. If somebody knows or has access to this info i would appreciate it. Thanks for the help.

I found the factory offset and its 44mm. So i guess the final question is, will these work given the lug adapter is 1"? From searching old threads i think anything over a 40 offset will be ok. Let me know if im wrong. Thanks for the help.

if a 35mm offset is no good, why would a 44 be any different?

because a higher number offset will tuck the tire in more... no rubbing on the fender..
