Another Ls bites the dust....Not really

Got into a little accident on my way to san diego this weekend. Some guy not paying attention or driving too close rear ended me. Traffic started to slow down pretty quick and I was doing about 65, began to slow down and saw the cars ahead were coming to a dead stop so I broke harder, I come to a stop and hear tires screatching and BAM! It hurt me more that my baby got hit than the wiplash and jerk the car did.. Seemed like he hit me pretty hard,well I've never been hit from behind before, but it seemed like that amount of force would've done more damage.Could be that the ls has some good, strong materials into it, or since my exhaust tips stick out a good amount, they took some of the impact, not just all on the bumper alone.His front bumper had a big hole from my exhaust tip and his bumper was beat up. The guy was nice though. I would've punched him if he hit me and then starts yelling at me when it's fault for driving too close.Called his insurance and they are coming out tomorrow to check it out.

Check out picture 1. There is a dent in it. Now check out where the damage is compared to where that little dip on #1. How did that happen? The rear lifts when you break and the front dips down when you break so how did he hit me up there?

The damage on the upper side of your bumper is from it flexing. The bumper kinda krinkled up leaving those "dents". Thats my take on it anyway.

True.lol. But I didn't want it messing other things up from the crash to just get a facelift with hidden damages.

I got the exhaust with your money :Beer. Can't wait to put them on. I think the black tips will look sick! I saw some on a white beamer a little bit ago and it look great on it.

loll, I can't wait to put my borla ( your old ) on mine with chrome 4 inch tip because my 3 inch flows look too small with that I thought to put a the same time High flow cat for increase performance

And lol Lito. My car is still wrecked and it happened over four months ago. It's a long painful process but in the long run I am going to love it and save som big bucks!

And I agree that dent at the top is a flex fracture from impact.

Exhaust is gunna be sick man. I am gunna go with magnaflows too. I like hose black tips too.

Just noticed ur pic has the angel eyes. What kind are those? I can't tell but it lookalike he big ring is a full circle? And your ballasts are different. Can't see very well, I'm on phone.

Not to be the bearer of bad news but I guarantee it's more than that. I'm willing to bet money that that they're going to at least replace the bumper, the foam absorber, and the impact absorber bar.

Yeah I realized that after they got here. Owlman gave me the part number so if he was able to fit them then so will I.Atleast i think it's the ones he has, maybe he remembered the size and checked online and gave me the center in/out instead of the offset one. The shop will just have to extend the pipe a few inches to make it fit I hope. We'll see how that goes.

Premo? Whats that. If I remember, you are going to take off your exhaust so that set up is up for grabs . I would've gone with them but magnaflows give a little more performance so it's them for now. MAN! this is my third set of mufflers. Well atleast I'll know the difference between them from personal experience for future people.

Those angel eyes are from retro solutions. Those are the ones I put in the fog light housing. Came out good. I have the umnitza LED angel eyes sitting in my garage waiting to be installed when I get some time.

Yup, plus you it looks nice on a white ls, contrasts well.

I'm keeping the tips black but it will help me see if the white/black scheme will look good. I got black eye lids in already. I just need that extra rear surround from NYC to paint it black and test out the look, oh and the lse spoiler is on it's way
