My first attempt at waxing proved to do fairly well. I did however realize it is quite a pain in the ass to try to do the whole car at once.....because by the time you get back around, the wax is nice and dry and likes to be difficult to remove....Ended up taking a good hour and a half.

check it out and let me know what you think.

Looks good, what wax did you use? An hour and a half isn't bad, when I go all out and claybar and put three coats of Zaino on, it's easily an all day job.

I just used some DuPont Teflon Spray on Wax. I had it in my trunk for a while and never used it. Just apply, let dry, and wipe off with microfiber rag. I just waited too long and the wax was a pain in the ass to get back off.

looks good, spray your tire well with armor all. believe it or not it makes a big difference.

looks good man .. but a lil advice.. instead of applying wax to the whole car at once then tryin to wipe it off all at once, just apply wax to maybe 2 doors for example , remove it , then comtinue .. makes it a lil bit easier. looks good though.

Or, DuPont makes a wax where you can do the entire car and the removal is surprisingly easy. Just read the bottles, some suggest doing small areas and some say do the entire car. Next to Zaino, Duragloss has gotten me the best shine for the buck and you can apply it in the shade or sun and do the whole car at once. It's great stuff, it's just not Zaino.

Husker you said it takes you like all day to wax with Zaino right?

How long does it look good since you have a black car?

Wouldnt using somthing less intense, that only takes like an hour to do and gives you nearly same gloss? Considering it will be dirty in a day or two?

I liek what I know bout Zaino,, but damn allday?..lol

I want it to shine,,, but not take a whoeld ay to shine it, where I could be driving.

Easier to throw on some Eagle Nano wax, and go after like 1.5-2hrs.

I usually do the full clay bar and Zaino 3-4 times a year, at most, probably twice on average. It isn't the waxing that takes the most time, it's the claybar. The shine and smoothness of the paint is worth the extra time it takes. I usually take a day off work to do it and don't rush it, or I could probably get it all done in 4-6 hours or so.

Both of my vehicles are black and with the clay/zaino every few months combined with Zaino's speed detailer after every wash, my vehicles look freshly waxed all year long. I use a California Car Duster when it's dusty, followed by the speed detailer, when I don't want to go to the car wash.
