Well my Mark VIII Family,

I think I am about to have an adventure in getting screwed over in trying to give a so called "new player in the air suspension game" a damn opportunity. I ordered the Suncore front air struts for my 97 Mark VIII LSC. Now the passenger side air strut went in beautifully and even worked with Arnott Soleniods I already had (which should not have been a surprise).

But now comes the lovely getting done without vaseline or the courtesy of a reach around. The drivers side air strut fit fine, but the solenloid (neither the original or the Arnott) would fit in the soleniod socket on the strut. Now I noticed that the soleniods differ from passenger to driver side, so that was not the issue. So looked into the socket on the driver's side air strut only to find some sort of nozzle in there. I thought maybe I tripping, but I checked my original strut and there was no sort of nozzle in the socket. It was actually hollow which allows the solenoid to fit completely snug. So, I figured ok no worries.........I will call technical support. Well that is when I call and I am put on hold for 15 minutes only to be told by the person that answered the phone that he could not help me since technical support would not be in till DAMN Thursday this week?!!!! I am like WTF!!! That is not posted on the damn website, so in the mean time I have to wait to Thursday to find out if a definitely screwed or not. And in the meantime, my ride is sitting face dropped to the ground and rear end ass up in the air. HMMMMMM, my Mark seem to be imitating how I am getting done by this company.

I should have done business with Eddie or Arnott, but I guess this what I get from trying to give a business that claims they want to support our group a shot. Well the old adage always holds true......Buy Cheap, Buy Twice.

Well Eddie it looks like I am coming to you for a front passenger airstrut unless someone can tell me if that damn nozzle portion is supposed to be in the socket of this new strut.

I've bought some before that had something in place of the solenoid to keep moisture out when shipped. I've got them deflated totally, with a plastic stud protector installed, and with a nozzle deal installed. I ended up making a test rig out of the nozzles. I'm not sure if this is the case though, I've never bought from Suncore.
Dave.

Call Eddie he will have a clue about what you are dealing with. Also, Eddie is will help you with your problem even though you didn't purchase from him.

What you are going to find out after talking to Eddie is why the majority of us believe in Eddie and keep telling everyone to go to American Air Suspension.

You will not find a nicer person to deal with. You will find Eddie is available. You will find out that Eddie will return you calls.

You will find out that Eddie is the Best when dealing with the Mark VIII airi ride system.

when i bought my struts from eddie, the core returns went to suncore, i think they are the same.

Don't think so, Eddie isn't from Florida (where suncore is based out of)

When i sent my cores back, i called eddie, he sent me a ups call tag, they were sent to suncore industries.

They are not the same but work together. I think one of the numbers on Eddie's page take you to Suncore, as I once called one of the numbers and got a different place.

Eddie is in TN.

Suncore Redeemed!!!

Ok My Mark VIII Family,

I was worried I was going to get screwed on this driver's side airstrut. I could not have been more wrong. And I am adult enough to admit when I am. The technical support for Suncore is a one man team that unfortunately, when I called was out on vacation. And you know everyone deserves a break, so I understood. Let's face it everyone wants what they want right then, and I was guilty of that.

Anyhow, the tech was dead on the money about the nozzel I saw in the airstrut was protection valve/nozzle that comes right out with a pair of needle nose pliers. The strut fit perfectly like on the passenger side and the solenoid slid and twisted right in place without a hitch. The new springs are fantastic. My Mark VIII ride feels brand new and handles lovely and I have not even done the wheel alignment yet.

So Family, I highly recommend SunCore as a valid source for airsupsension parts for our cars. So Eddie has some good and fair competition. And competition is good because both give us great options and resources.
