Airbag Light Flashing 5-3

My airbag light is flashing five times, then three. From this website, it means:

53 Primary crash sensor circuit resistance to ground or internal diagnostic monitor failure

Can someone translate this into English?

When you turn your ignition on to the ACC position, does the airbag light come on? If not, it might just mean you need to replace the bulb. Otherwise, you need to replace the clock spring. It's not reading your driver's side airbag so it's notifying you that it's "missing".

For everyone's enlightenment, it was the airbag module. It is located behind the glove box. It is larger blue box held in by two bolts and has other modules attached to it. It is an easy part to swap out.
