Can anyone point me in the direction of a post about the air ride system or offer some tips? My front air bags keep releasing the air out of the bags after it has been parked for a few hours?

replace the front bags..
if you procrastinate this repair you will kill:
air ride pump
air ride relay
air ride computer

dont delay, time is not on your side

dont show him that danny!

yup ft bags are bad or at least one is, let it slam and see what side is lower, cuz 1 bag isnt enough to support the front

The driver side is lower then the passenger. I've been considering the conversion, but then I'm going to have to lower it 1.5/2.0 for the look I want

when the front is down
reach in and squeeze the air bag bladder with your hand

the leaking bag wont be "as hard/solid" as the non leaking bag.

i dont think one leaking bag is cause for doing a spring conversion IMHO

Thanks Danny LOL I don't think so. I would rather park my Mark until I could fix it then to add slim, or any of that s*** to it. I already read that post before you linked it to me. I just need to know why anyone would do that to their ride

my rf was leaking for a while and i had a spare from a junkyard years before, i tossed it in and all good since

I'm hitting up Pick and Pull this afternoon I'll see if they have any Marks in the yard with bags left on them.

junk yards are hit or miss, i filled mine with air and sprayed the entire thing down and let it sit for a month at work and it seemed ok so i tried it and no leaks

Still wondering what this Mark looks like.

That was pure sarcasm, that is why i said i just had to because of the whole shadetree mechanic argument..

I suggested coil because if he has been riding it a long time i would switch over because after he replaces the bag, the pump/relay/solenoid could all be shot as well and it would be more cost effective, but now that i see he wants it lowered, good luck finding a lowered coil conversion, i don't think they make them anymore, so a sensor lower or rays switch would be ideallly

I contaminated my once prestine 2nd Gen Mark VIII with tire sealant and as of today, it is still holding air. It fix has become more of a permanent fix than I ever thought.

Ed, you're alright dude. But trust me, don't stir the pot. This solution worked for you, it worked for me, but it may not work for everyone. And you and I both know it's only temporary. If you have dryrot in your airs prings, its only gonna get worse. You (and I) will eventually have to replace the springs. The sealant is temporary in every sense of the word. And you know that sooner or later this post will be met with a barrage insults, derogotory comments, and name calling aimed at you (and me) by certain members who have obvious anger issues, mommy issues, as well as possible sexual inadequacy issues. So let it be. Leave it alone. I'm glad your springs are holding air. And I'm glad this temporary remedy worked for you, but just by adding that comment, you may have started the ball rolling. We'll wait and see.

BTW, this will be the first and last post I make on this thread. So fire away 1bad and XLR. Live long and prosper.
