So I FINALLY took my compressor out and epoxied that dryer to the compressor. No more blowing off! I hope....

Anyway. I took the whole tray out. There is the "muffler" for the compressor. In it there is a thick filter. I removed it and the compressor runs MUCH better. Maybe a little noisier, but not much. I am sure that filter is there to protect the compressor to some extend. But if anyone has compressor issue (slow) this could be a restrictive point. I could not even blow through the filter effectively.

I've thought about routing my air ride intake into the cabin to get cleaner dryer air to the compressor.....

Seems like the trunk would have been the better place. Opposite side of the factory CD changer or even down where the spare tire goes. Maybe the same amount of noise on the inside but less outdoor elements.
