Air Ride suggestions? At my wits end here..

If you've replaced them, then proceed with jacking the car up to approximate ride height and then turn the compressor on.

I give up. I'm gonna call Lincoln tomorrow and have it towed and pay whatever it takes to have them fix it. I jacked it up to ride height, checked the sensors, solenoids, relays and fuses and it still comes up with Instant Check Air Ride. The biggest problem here is I live in an apartment, have no garage and the weather here doesn't let me work on the damn thing. I'm tired, I've spent 3 weeks trying to get this fixed and over $500.

You are just too god damn smart to replace the air ride computer huh... you replace EVERY other part but you won't try one more?

You are just too god damned dumb to read the fact that I did change the computer?

New Compressor, New Computer, New Solenoids, New Bags, New Relay it came up once then I left it over night and it dropped back down in front and instant Check Air Ride again. I don't get it. Spring Conversion is looking mighty nice to me right about now....

HELP!!!!!!

If you want to try one more thing....

Jack it up to a little less than ride height, otherwise the sensors won't tell the computer to do anything.

You might also want to pop off the front sensors and work them a bit. See if you feel anything. My guess at this point is that one of them is damaged.

Either way, let us know what it turns out to be.

this is about the third time you"ve been really rude to people that are just trying to F*CKING HELP you.

you might consider not being such a D*CKHEAD, to those that are grabbing at straws on your behalf.

My bad... lol...

I have no clue what could be wrong with your car then... you have replaced everything except the wires... wtf...

Thanks, sorry I snapped back but that's how irritated I am. It's all good, I'll take another day off tomorrow and go through each piece one at a time for the unteenth time. I realize there are some people on here that know alot of :q:q:q:q about these cars, you being one of them. I also realize that there are alot of people that come here for an honest opinion and help on their cars. For the most part, when they weed through the condescending know-it-all azzhats, they eventually get the answer they are looking for, but some of them are even new to forums and don't know that there are always a couple on every last forum.

I'm a computer network engineer for nearly 20 years, I work with ignorant people every damn day that have absolutely no clue what they are doing, but I know it's not their job to troubleshoot network problems and they truly are just trying learn whatever they can so they don't have to call me again. Not because I am a condescending know it all computer nerd but because I try to teach them small things about what I do so they can learn, understand and not feel like they are idiots. They're not afraid to call back tho if they have to.

THIS is a good suggestion.

but he's getting "instant check air ride"

I agree, though, sometimes you have to jack it up..then put SOME weight on the tires so the sensors can see it's out of adjustment.

this is my last post in this thread, he can tow it to Lincoln, call Eddie and order some coils..at this point I DONT GIVE A F*CK about his car anymore.

I wasn't being a d*ckhead to anyone on here. I replied to him the same way he replied to me.

since you've scattered your issue over 3 different threads, you have to expect that people will get confused.
instant check air ride is going be a height sensor issue, be it out of adjustment, jammed...or simply completley destroyeds.

you said you "checked" all the sensors?

by "checking you mean you looked at them", not tested the proper "hall effect" operation?

the height sensors ARE hall effect switches..if you were wondering wtf i was talking about

By "checking" them, I took them off the top ball mount and made sure they still functioned mechanically. I replaced one that wasn't springing like it should have, before I replaced the compressor.

when you hit this bump...

what kind of bump?

pothole?
dukes of hazzard over rail road tracks <---dont laugh i did it.

give some details about this "bump"?

It was a swollen expansion joint going over a bridge on I-294, wasn't an extreme bump but is the last thing I remember before the Check Air Ride.

Update:

Today after work I removed all the solenoids and height sensors, relay and computer. I cleaned all the connections and terminals and made sure the wires were not broken to the best of my ability. I hooked everything back up and still with the Check Air Ride instantly. I replaced the fuses just to replace them with new ones. I've tried each part that I have spare in different locations as well.
What I have including on and off the car:
3 relays
2 computers
5 ride height sensors
6 Solenoids

I'm going to go ahead and assume it's a deeper wiring issue somewhere and I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and go with springs for now. Thank you for all your help and I apologize if I was less than bearable at some point, I was very frustrated and now have to spend an additional $550 and several more hours out in the cold.

Well, if you end up going that route, I'm sure that you could recoup alot of that money by selling some of those parts. If that's what you end up doing. Dang, almost forgot, doesn't Eddie have a scanner or something for the air ride system? yep, here it is

I just googled it, there's one on ebay right now but they want 300 buy it now. I don't know how effective these things are though.
