I finally found out why my compressor wasnt cutting on it was the power wire to it was corroded thru.I replaced the whole harness with another one.I cut and spliced the wires and put electrical tape around them.My problem is when it rains its wet down there and my compressor will not come on im assuming wet wires somehow.I wanted to know what is the best way to waterproof all the connections i have a soldering iron.

Solder and Heat Seal

I would solder the connections and seal with heat-seal. I totally built a new wiring harness for a Harley using this method and no problems for 16 years now. :D

The best long term connection is to solder, then use heat shrink tubing. When I make a wire repair on my compressors, I double the heat shrink tubing. Using dielectric grease in the connectors works great keeping out moisture.

electrical tape is not what you should use on the outside of any car. solder and shrink tube, or, leave it like it is and let it get wet!

well this is a update today i found out after it rains the only way to get the compressor to work is to jumpa power wire to the wire on the relay then everything is fine its like that everytime it rains or doesnt want to work do a quick jump and it works from there on
