Air pump

Does anyone know if you cap off the air pump tube inlets if it will set of a cel?

Im wondering too. I just bought kooks headers and they dont have a place for the air pump.

i put on a cobra manifold and blocked off the EGR tube and yes that little orange light has been staring me in the eye ever since
it's watching me

I traced it all down and it looks like its not a monitored system, I need to remove mine to install a steeda timing adjuster. So as long as you leave the pump and wiring intact I dont think I will have a problem.
I was hoping somebody had already removed for like a blower install and could tell me for sure.

Just take the CEL bulb out...

Where in the code is it I cant find it, or monitor wiring from the ECM?
Looks to be strictly thermostatic, vacuum control?

Yes it dose give a CEL I had to cut mine off to get the under drive pullies on and it gave me the light until I spliced it back together and cleared the code

its used to blow fresh air across the o2 sensors during startup, or some mumbo jumbo like that

that might be it too, it is some over engineered piece of crap
