I just recently purchased a air fuel guage for my 2000 ls v8. I've allready viewed quicks post on his install but i can not seem to find the correct wire to tap into. so i would apreciate any help possible.

i have all the wires installed except the one needed for the middle pcm conector.

If you are talking about the wire that goes to that pin ive allready used a wire tap to tap into it and my gauge shows 1 bar above lean, and will not move with the the throttle.

can anyone help me on this? .... i also need to know where the oil pressure sender unit is so i can hook an oil press gauge

yes - this is correct.

when you first start the car it will sho very lean - off the bottom of the chart. The heated O2 sensor take a while to warm up.

You will also show lean every time you take your foot off the gas and when you idle.

When your foot is on it - you should see it climb - it will lag the actual pedal.

This is normal for the stock slow narrow-band O2 sensors.

Does your oil pressure guage have a remote sending unit?

You typically do not tap that wire - but install a remote pressure sensor similar to a fuel pressure sensor/gauge.

That's an electric gauge...and that's good. But you will need to build yourself a 'T' at the oil pressure tap where you have the factory sending unit and add the sending unit for your new gauge. You DO NOT want to eliminate the factory unit. You want to add that to what is already there. Lowe's, Home Depot, Autozone, Carquest, Ace Hardware, etc should all be able to sell you the brass fittings you need.

and you may have to purchase the sender - the notes on your gauge say "Requires sender, sold separately."

Seriously Quik???? Who in the world would sell an oil pressure gauge without the sender??? That is simply amazing.
