I did a search for this so excuse me please.

Ok. Well I took my car to the dealership for the Air bag light staying on. They charged me for a diagnostic. They came up with the yellow wire under the seat is split. Which I knew and told them it was. they told me they have to replace the whole harness. I was wondering does anyone know where i could purchase this harness and whats the part number for it please?

Thanks

The dealers always want to replace damaged harnesses, it's what they are trained to do. It doesn't have to be replaced. It can be repaired. If you are not up to it yourself, find a shop that is good with electrical work. You can save a good bit of money here. If you do it yourself, it should be less then $5 to fix.

My Airbag light just started to flash every time i start my car and then stay on too. Could this be the same problem I'm having as well?

Count the flashes. Im pretty sure a 3-3 indicates a harness failure and a 3-2 count indicates a clock spring failure. It's around here somewhere but i couldnt find it.

Ok thanks joe. I guess i would try an electrical shop only problem is when i vacuum my car. i move the seat all the way up and the harness is like really tight it doesnt stretch with the seat so thats what snapped it. as if the harness is to short do you you understand what im mean? but yeah so i trying not to have it do it to me again and dont i disconnect the battery when i solder it together?

The existing wires can be cut and a few extra inches of wire soldered in to extend them. It is not a difficult task, but you wouldn't want to do this as your first time soldering something.
It is very important to do the following two things before messing with any airbag wiring, particularly the circuit in question.
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Wait at least 10 minutes after disconnecting the battery before doing anything to the airbag wiring.

Most soldering irons have grounded tips. You could set off the air bag when you ground one of the wires. The ten minute wait is to allow the reserve power supply in the airbag module to discharge. (The modules have internal reserve power so that they can fire the airbags even if the battery gets disconnected during the crash.)

Hey, Joe do you think I could buy the harness under the seat somewhere else.

I just checked under my seat and yep both wires were pulled completely out the yellow connector. I will try to fix this, weekend. Thanks Quick LS
