How do you do it? Has anyone ever done it before?

Just kidding! lol.

I bought my brother a HID kit from www.ddmtuning.com for his 94 and finally got around to putting them in.

I went with the 35w 6000k kit, and it was Super easy to install. The hardest part was those stupid headlight clips.

Here are some before and after pics. Not bad for under $50 with a lifetime warranty.

Wow that looks good. I was just on that website last night looking at those kits. I was up all night browsing for a decent kit and I've heard pretty good reviews about those.

Those lights look great!

That is a beautiful car. I hope to see it at Carlisle this year, but not next to my car.:D

A trick I use on those stupid headlight clips, is a small needle nose Vice Grip. They hold the clip tight and you just rock it back forth a bit and they pull right off.

Thats a big change. I'm definatly going to be getting a set for myself so I can have HID's back :D

Which kit did you get, Apexcone Raptor or DDM Tuning? When you flip to high beams do the HIDs go out? Do you get the Error Code Eliminator modules? Using a relayed harness?

I did HID's about a week ago and love it!!! Mine are 5000K and its nice to see again at night! Here are the before and after pics.

I got the Apexcone Raptor kit. The DDM tuning is a slim ballast kit, which isnt really necessary on our cars because there's is plenty of room to mount the ballasts. I plan on cutting that wire in the column that allows the highs and lows to be on at the same time, but the car is in storage and figured Id do it in the spring. You dont get an error code, so I didnt get the modules, and Im not using any relays, although I probably should be.

No need to cut any wires - use a splice block to splice together the wires for pins 13 and 15 of the M.F.S.

How do you not get the error code???? Ive got a 35w kit and i get the check lights message 2 minuets after turning the lights on, did you cut the wire??

I knew it was something like that. Its been about 5 years since Ive done an HID install on a gen 1.

Idk. I just dont get one, at least not yet.

If each ballast/HID plugs into the factory wiring for each side, you may not get the message. I had a relayed harness on another 93 and only used one side of the factory wiring, other side was unplugged, so I got the message each time lights came on.

I put the vvme kit 4300k kit in mine. I am happy, but the autolamp function doesn't work as it should (turn key on at night with autolamp on, lights come on. Start car and lights go super dim and the check head lamps message appears. I just now turn them on and off manually until I can build a delay circuit). I had 2 dead OEM bulbs so I removed the glass capsule, and modified the old bulb housing to hold the new 9006 bulb in place. It looks factory (except for the small ballasts). My only issue is the beam pattern doesn't look anything like most of the marks I see on here. I have sanded and polished the lenses several times. It helped on one but on the other one the beam is really blurred. No defined cutoff on either beam. It was like this with the OEM bulbs and ballasts. I am thinking I am gonna have to get new lenses made as the one that has the blurred beam has internal cracks in the lens.
