So I got te rest of my Focal components installed today and I was talking to my dealer about sponsorship since I was hoping at a point to be in car shows (such as GIN). He says I should write up a "resume" for it such as what stuff I want done to my car and list of demands (such as what discount or whatever, since most dealers aren't doing sh*t free anymore). Question being what would be reasonable? 25% maybe? I got a modeling agency that is just waiting on any word from me to have girls sent to model for my car and there's still plenty to go before I'm 100% modifying my car...and NO the Tesla Headlights won't be in any part of it :P

I would ask Rollin but since he hates my guts it's quite pointless but if any of you have had experience in sponsorship or would have recommendations it'd be greatly appreciated. The shop that has been helping me thus far loves my LS and is suprised how it's help up for 10yrs. They had a pearl white one at their shop today..some black guy was hoping to get it fixed but whie I was waiting on mine to get done I overheard the mechanics say "Hey, I think this guy's LS's Tranny is shot, he's f*cked!" I tod the dealer if the guy decides to part out the LS to let me know since I'd be interested in a front bumper, headlights, hood, and maybe side mirrors and maybe interior door paneling to replace my dirty/faded ones.

Phew...and that was my day besides spending 2hrs in the gym and reaching 200lb dumbell presses :-D

he has me ignored so communicating would be a bit difficult...unless he can still recieve my messages even if I'm ignored :P

LMFAO!

On a side note, my old Trans Am was sponsored partially by a local tire shop and micky thompson.. they set up the deal, i got a discount (30% IIRC) but i had a huge decal on the rear hatch glass and two smaller ones on the sides

He hates you that much huh. What if you post a thread asking for his help. Like his name on the thread title.

haha we'll see. as far as decals there's 3 nice places I wouldn't mind putting them and they guys at the shop are great, Speedware Motorsports. They got some sick cars in there and some hot girls that work there :-D

Well Im still waiting on you to put up those pics of a non trans gender female so get to it!

haha one of em is coming over to do just that when he cost is gone. Maybe this coming weekend I hope :P

I don't hate you. Your smart@$$ comments and stupid post need to stop. You know it bothers members. Yet, you continue to do it. If you were a more productive member to the board, less members would rag on you and "ignore" you. I know posting this is a waste of my time. Maybe you MIGHT actually read this and stop the BS behavior.

for only 1 year that doesn't seem too many but then again I've never been in car show but I'll try the rogue route before hitting publicity :-D

Honestly pete you need to start doing more and bigger mods if you want to get your car sponsored. You have to have more than a radio, CAI kit, and exhaust to get someone else to put money in your car.

+1, man do something to draw people in. Even if its just the wheels it will attract them and then they can see the rest of whats not visible on the outside.

Best advice I can give you. Show your LS. Hit local shows every chance you can. No company or business is going to sponsor anyone without some sort of experience. I had been going to and competing in car shows for several years. Before I got a break. I had most of the mods already done to my LS. Before I started getting any sponsorship stuff. Companies are looking for maximum exposure for there product. You need to know what you are talking about and be professional doing it. Acting immature and ghetto will not get the kind of attention sponsors want. You need to get out and compete at local shows and hit the local car cruises. Let potential sponsors know you are out there. Your LS is visable and known. Start doing more mods on your own. But have a plan or direction for your LS. Just don't start put anything on it. Remember, it may be free, but you have to put it on your LS.

BTW I only took you off my "ignore list" to read this topic. This is your one chance with me.

Great post.

Some would never give a second chance, or even give two chits.
Not so sure I would.

its too early to see what shows are going on next season......i'd check back in march, there's usually alot more posted around then. I know over if i wanted to I could go to a car show/ cruise 6 days a week....or should i say i have went to a car show/ cruise 6 day a week.....hahaha

:-D I'm working more on interior before exterior such as I'm gonna either get a dash kit or paint it myself the interior decor to color match the outside JP Birch Silver :P

The outside can wait it's the fun on the inside I want.

Plus I needa go to a salvage yard and check out LS parts cause I'll need another LS bumper, headlights, rear bumper, side mirrors for what I want to do to the exterior :-D

Turning it into an LS sport look-a-like? Your car actually doesn't look half bad in those pics for a 2000 non-sport. Not feeling the exhaust tips though.

Get some wheels and have the Seahawks sponsor you!:N

No, but really. Your not gunna get anywhere at all with only your interior done. Look at the cars in car shows. Its common sense.

And yet it still looks stock

That's the exact point I was trying to get across to him.

Like Jwerner said, you have to do something to attract people to your car.

Pete, I have everything you have plus rims and my interior done and I still wouldn't even attempt to look for a sponsor. I think you would need to get rims and a paint job before someone would sponsor you.
