AC Filter??

I don't know, but my JUST called and said I had the message to change the filter. I'll probably check the owners manuel when I get home.

It is actually a cabin filter, it filters all incoming air, a/c, heated and ambivalent.

EBay, some auto parts stores and site sponsors====>.

In anticipation of where and how, do a search on cabin filters.

Please someone help...where is and how do i get to the AC Filter???
Raise hood. Remove the passenger-side cowl cover---the black plastic to be seen at the windshield lower edge---by pushing in the centers of the locking plugs and pulling them out. (Don't miss the one on the inside by the hood hinge.) The filter can now be seen setting vertically in the opened space. There are clips at each end of the edge visible. Unclip, pull up and remove. Reverse the procedure to close up again.

thanks everyone that was very helpful..found it and changed it in minutes.thanks again!!

As you found, the cabin filter is pretty easy to change.

When I first got my LS, I was confused about the cabin filter/ac filter and the Seat filters. There are air filters for the front seats. Maybe there is some confusion regarding these.

The seat filters are really more like screens. There is one under each front seat. The hardest parft if getting your hand under then and pulling it off. They are about the size of the palm of your hand. Mine looked clean at 50,000 miles, but an air gun would do the trick.

BTW, I am cheap. I clean my cabin filter with an air gun. Paper filters are easily cleaned this way.

Also follow the instructions on resetting the computer message exactly. It is a little tricky to reset the filter message the first time.

Good Luck,

Jim Henderson
