Ok, so some of you probably remember that I totalled my '93 back in '09.

Well, my parts car is a '95.

Now, I remember reading somewhere about the brake/CC recall, that the cruise deactivation switch on a '93 is under the master cylinder, and on '94 and up, it is in front of the passenger side wheel.

Well, my scenario is, the wiring harness in my '93 has been TRASHED by the accident, and I am going to swap harnesses (this harness being the one that powers the headlights, washer bottle, horn, and airride) and is the one that runs in front of the core support, and goes over the passenger side shock tower.

But before I get too in depth with yanking wires out, does anyone know if the wiring harnesses are essentially the same, or are they "re-pinned" for some reason or another? If I used the '95 harness on the '93 and DID NOT use the plugs for the CC deactivation, will it affect me in any way?

OR, should I just spend the time repairing my harness?

Repair your original harness ...too bad my other 93 just got stripped of all it's wires for the copper

I may consider that... I guess I have to get the harness out of the parts car first. Once it goes into the firewall, is it hooked directly to anything? Or do I have to chase it around under the dash? (or just cut it :D)

I've done the harness from firewall forward when a rat chewed everything in the engine compartment... Easiest way was to pull the cut tail from engine bay thru fire wall into the cabin, then take your salvage engine bay harness and solder it all together that way, use a piece of cardboard to line the floor to catch any hot droppings. Then poke the wires back thru the firewall and run where needed.

I did it that way because the rat chewed the engine harness right up to the firewall..so i didn't have much tail to work with beside the booster
