A couple stereo questions

Is the speaker behind the small grate below the window up front the tweeter? Is there anything else there? and is there only one speaker (5x7?) behind the grate lower on the door?

Im getting a crackle coming from the front drivers side speaker (tweeter?) up by the window. It happens only when the car is moving, not when im stopped. The rear speakers play fine, if a little quiet, and the right side has no problems. After the crackling started I discovered my treble was turned up pretty high.

Also, I dont think its the amp because I recently had it replaced with a fully rebuilt one. And yes I have already searched extensively.

Have you tried taking off the grate, and checking the wires? I had some corrosion on my wires, (from rain, or car was leaking on that speaker) I cleaned the wires off with a brush, and it works fine now.

dont try pulling off the grill, you have to remove the door panel, if you pull the speaker grill off you wont get it back on it has fingers that wrap around the backside of the door panel. sounds like you might have a crap speaker.

Well the crackle is only when the car is moving, not when its stationary.
