Any ideas are appreciated.

about 3 weeks ago my a/c started to NOT come on after i had run the car and stopped for more than 5 mins(engine off). once i restart i have to drive 4-5 mins or more before the compressor will turn back on.

and on a few occasions, after it does finally restart it will run a minute and then shut off for 3-6 more minutes before finally starting and running properly.

once it finally sorts itself out it will run an hour or more and cool just fine.

i checked all my pressures,

when a/c running : high side 230 psi, low 43 psi (90°F outside air temp) about 45°F vent temp.

before this started the a/c would take maybe 30 seconds(or less) after a restart to turn on the compressor.

i swapped the a/c relay under the hood and i tried my backup vlcm which is known to work well. (works in dads car just fine).i checked for loose connections too, tried wiggling them to engage the comp too.

Any ideas what is getting heat soaked and delaying the start, or anything else?

weird. the clutch maybe?
or a bad pressure switch? or loose wiring on the pressure switch?
