98 Mk 8 Windshied wiper

I had windshield wipers on today, later after rain stopped i turned off then windshield wipers stood up in vertical position. I kept flickering on/off then they finally went back down.....

Could it be fuse or faulty relay????

Nope. Not a fuse, not a relay.

You'll likely need a new windshield wiper motor, as the timing switches in the motor/unit are toast or close to it.
