Decided to take the hot rod Lincoln to the track today and there were barely any cars there. DA was perfect, right around 200ft when I got there and dropping.

I had a couple nice runs. Keep in mind this is on a super conservative tune with only 19-20 degrees of timing at WOT and 19 inch street tires. Ran against a 2011 Lincoln MKS ecoboost and he beat me 14.2 at 98.62MPH to 14.4 at 97.93 MPH with the same 2.24 60 foot time. I had the slightly quicker reaction time .034 to .062. It was a good hot rod lincoln grudge match. Owner was super cool and also owns an F-150 ecoboost with a tune. I then ran a bolt on 95 Mustang GT and treed him .021 to .164. I ran a 14.32 at 98.78 with a 2.23 60 foot and he ran a 14.60 at 96.31mph with a 2.18 60 foot time. Sweet win for the 98 LSC. I then let the car cool down for a bit and ran a new best NA MPH. It was a 2.20 60 foot time, 14.22 at 99.22 MPH. I backed that up with another 14.2 run at over 99MPH and it started to sprinkle and they shut down the track for the night.

Off road x pipe, Dynomax turbo mufflers, Sniper tune, Cobra intake with MMR Billet IMRC deletes and Cobra fuel rails, SVT Focus fuel pump, C&L cold air intake, 4.30 gears with trac-loc and nitrous which I obviously wasn't spraying tonight.

Good deal. Nice consistent times. Always fun taking out a mustang. lol.

The car can do high 13's as it is but the stupid low timing makes it have no torque off the line to get a decent 60 foot time. BTW, 100% stock 98 4R70W with Mobil 1 full synthetic.

Why are you running with bottle timing?

You have very good trap speed for your times. When I was running low 14s, my trap speeds were 2-3 mph less than yours. You need a dyno tuned SCT chip and a 3800 stall like a fat kid needs cake. That Cobra intake is already trying to work for you looking at your trap speed but your tune and the converter is holding you back. Well done though. My trap speed when I ran 14.1 on stock intake was 96.5 mph. Just horrible.

I ran 14.0 at 97mph with stock intake manifold, stock cats and all motor sniper tune.

Hey 98LSC, did you have your 4.30s installed here in the bay area? Just wondering what the going rate was for a gear install. I assume you swapped in a one piece drive shaft as well?

Yes I had it done at the rear end shop in Livermore. About $400 labor. I brought all the parts including trac-loc with 04 cobra carbon clutches. Stock driveshaft.
