The Mark VIII forum is more technical that the Continental forum.
I also have a 98 Continental and the coolant fans will not turn on!
Is it similar to the Mark VIII?
Just became apparent today as it finally has warmed up in Minnesota (79).
I have searched the web for a wiring digram and found nothing.
3 wires going to the fan.
Connected a test light to the negative terminal and checked all 3 wires at the plug and no power.
Cannot find a fuse designated for them.
Ideas?
Help me keep the wife from needing to drive the Mark VIII!

It could be the relay for low speed. I think it has a low speed and a high speed relay. Take your black cover off from the front of the engine, it holds on with velcro. There's a bracket with 1 screw/bolt that you have to remove. You'll find them in there. Just remove the bolt and it pulls away and it's located on that bracket. There a cover that you have to remove. The high speed relay doesn't kick in unless it reaches 225 degrees and low speed at 208 but I'm not saying that's your problem. Just something to look into.

hello fellow Minnesotan I would start off with getting manuals for the
car or go to the library and look up what you need off all-data
