97 Mark Viii LSC vs 11 Camaro SS

lol i know, i mean i wasnt tryin to trash talk him. i jus thought it was rude how he hops on here and automatically called BS. i know my mark isnt the best, its hittin the paint lab next week to be murdered out. cant wait

Those are Saleen wheels. The ones on the white LSC are the very first ones ever built. They were the tester prototypes. The black Saleens were also the first set sold.
I custom made the center caps for the chrome ones and added Mark VIII Muscles Lincoln Star caps to the black ones.

I don't want speedstars or cobra r's. They are played out everyone has them I like to be different so I'm getting Stern St6 put on mine. My mark will be nice just wait.

No the Camaro is bone stock. But still I feel pretty good about my car vs a car rated at 426 HP And 425 Torque

I called BS with conditions. There is a difference. Now there are a couple NA Marks on here that could pull it off but they also have different internals in their blocks.

That being said, with steep gears and traction a Mark can get its fat ass off the line pretty quickly even with the rest being fairly stock. The new Camaros are quite quick too though and I would wager a lot of that race has to do with driver. Maybe your friend can drive killer and the guy wearing the bow tie cant. IDK. I wasnt there. It is a bold claim and very suspect coming from a brand new member who we have no idea who is or whats what.
You see a stock 2011 SS auto will hit 60 in under 5 seconds. Its really easy too, just point and shoot. A 97 LSC does it in 7.8 seconds. So the car would have to drop 3 seconds from its 0-60 time to stay side by side. 3 seconds..... let that sink in. I had gears, tune, intake, LSD, wide tires, no cats, Borlas and my 98 LSC didnt drop 3 seconds. It took the 2.2L KB to make it drop 3 seconds.

We do get many trolls. We are a close knit group though and watch out for our own. There are some damn fine people here. Im a dick but always willing to help out. And if Jamie dont have the part, most likely I do. Hell I just threw out a bunch of stuff as I was getting 4-5 deep in the same spare parts for Marks.

WTF. Are these dudes from FSS focking with us?

Anything can happen on the street. It's hard to go WOT at the same time. At the track the timeslips don't lie. I have had two Mark VIII's with 4.30 gears and they can surprise a lot of people with faster cars. You would be surprised which cars pull hard on the top end too. No trouble believing the 4.30 gear and bolt on Mark VIII hung with an LS3 Camaro up to 70mph.

Those are nice wheels too. A couple members here have the ST6's on their Marks.

Im still partial to the Speedster wheel though and will continue to buy them for my Marks.

where do you find the wheels to fit the marks?
Mine were from thecustomwheelshop but Mark VIII Muscle sells them as do SCP. I believe everyone is out of them though cause they are played out.

Yours is one of the NA Marks that I mentioned earlier as being able to do it. Genos, DLFs and Drillers also come to mind. But only two of those cars are Gen 2s.

Yea last time I checked they were sold out.

I was kinda shocked I hung with him. I knew I would get non believers as I didn't post my mods before people started posting.

I raced 2 other newer Camaro SS on the freeway and they got a head start on me and I slowly pulled on them. I guess the 4.30's were a good pick, I originally bought some 3.73's but sold them to MARKVIIIorDIE and said go big or go home with the 4.30's. Glad I did, only downfall is loss in gas mileage but I was expecting it.

damn laser i really wish i couldve bought your gray car. how bad is the mileage with the 430's?

I used to average 21 mpg and with the new gears and the other mods, I average 14.5 mpg. But I have a lead foot, I'm sure I could squeeze a little more out of her.

I have two videos of mine beating a Camaro SS but I didn't post either because both have a defect. One ends before the race is over and the other is low and misses the win light and time & speed. It's hard to get good videos and race. I was so luck on 12-11-11 because I got half decent video's of the two best runs.
