96 LSC HIDs

if you are lucky, these days i wouldnt even buy a set up for 200, i'd redo a set of halogens like i have been and buy an aftermarket hid kit for 70 bucks with replacement bulbs costing about 20, instead of factory hid bulbs costing 125 or more used. i had factory hid's from a 96 in my 96, the whole deal, and i took them out and got rid of it all for halogen housings and aftermarket hid's and i dont regret one second of it, aftermarket hid's are so much brighter then stock and light up the road way better.

They are worth what someone is willing to pay. Basically eBay is the best place to sell them for the best bucks.

The HID housings seriously do look way better than the halogens. The halogens have those stupid round lens looking things all over the face, the HIDs are just flat and clear...

Or just buy a second gen and skip all those headlight problems entirely :D

+1 that is what I did.

well of course my case was an extreme first gen affliction.

Someone sent a crackhead to steal my car, because they knew i'd never sell it. I was a dyed in the wool first gen fan.

I really like the second gen now though, it's like an ugly girlfriend.. it just grows on ya.

Plus the chrome on the inside doesn't seem to flake off like the halogens :D

sure it does, same crappy chrome process used, the reason why people think the chrome doesnt fade as much as halogens is because they made 10 billion more halogen housings then hid's!!!

i had to rechrome the hid housings i bought for my 93 last year, but i also got both housings for $65 shipped so i cant complain!!

I got my housing along with the ballasts/bulbs for $250 I think it was so long ago? Then the other housing from Austria for $100 new! One bulb was burnt out, so I sold the ballasts and bulbs separate and got $175 back :D

My only problem now is the original housing that came with all the ballasts lens is starting to turn white. I got some lens polish but it is turning white on the inside of the lens

If I wanted 2 square foot headlights I'd just buy a mid-late 80s Volvo

bigger is better, they dont burn up like them candle light mini heat holding 1st gen headlight housings

i didnt when my father in law bought his 97 lsc back in 2000, he previously owned a 93 and i liked it, i had never seen a gen 2 till he got his and it made me sick but after driving it, i loved it, then the nose grew on me and now i love them, but only lsc's i cant stand the chrome eye brows and grill, looks gross.
